Bovan Goldlines
Originaly bred from Rhode Island Reds they are a popular commercial breed from Joyce and Hill Poultry Limited
Very friendly and placid personalities make them well suited to mixed flocks of different ages and breeds. Great for small back garden flocks up to commercial production.
They lay around 300 eggs per year
Sex-linked chicks are easy to tell apart, with the girls hatching orange and the boys yellow.
Great if you want to raise chicks but cant keep any cockerels and fab for those starting with chickens.
